where lyrics meet meaning, faith-based song stories, for people who want to know what was really going on when that lyric got written

Meet Lola
Hello! I’m Lola
I’m a writer and songwriter who’s spent years chasing the same question: what is this story actually trying to say?
I write novels that sit faith and identity side by side, put pen to songs of my own, and now dig into the stories behind the songs you already love, the season the songwriter was in, what was really going on when that lyric got written, and why it still catches you off guard. Some weeks that’s a song, some weeks it’s a book, some weeks it’s a scene from a film that wouldn’t leave me alone. Same question every time.

Every Song Has a Season Behind It
No lyric shows up out of nowhere. Somebody was in a hospital waiting room, or driving home after a breakup, or finally out the other side of something, when that line got written. Find that season, and the song stops being background noise. It starts being a story you’re standing inside of.
That’s what this show is: the real season behind the songs you already love, told with faith woven in, not preached at you.
